Dude, that is an excellent statment. I agree with all of it. I do however think Dave was trying get back to the groups thrash roots with Endgame but I think his guitar work underminds the thrash parts, know what I mean?? I vaule United Abominations as an album more because the melodic song structures on that release are there as more than just an end to Dave's solos. Listening to Megadeth on Endgame is almost like listening to an Yngwie Malmsteen release, you're just waiting for the guitar solo!!

I've heard just a few tracks (Too cheap to buy LOL) and saw that video with those monkey's drinking, driving cars and shooting each other with guns!!! I think its promising but you never know with these old thrash icons, as long as its an improvement over EndGame I'm happy - I prefer United Abominations over Endgame any day. Have you checked it out??

I don't hate Metallica and I definately respect the 1st 4 albums but in my mind they're just so played out. Basically they are the poster children for the thrash movement and because of that identification people miss out on a lot of other great thrash bands (outside the big 4) of that same time period like Exodus, Overkill, Testament, Death Angel and Nuclear Assault. It's like the casual listener thinks Metallica is the only band that existed!!!

Well I have liked Black Sabbath since age 9 and I just kinda got into lots of crazy heavy 70's stuff then progressed into 80's doom to thrash to death/black...etc
