My friend has been hassling me for a year to start listening to Arctic Monkeys. And to be honest, I have no idea why it took me this long. I bought Favourite Worst Nightmare for eight bucks at Circuit City (heads up) sometime during the week it was released, and I think I enjoy it. I get a lot of flack for listening to Christian rock. People expect the music to be watered down and boring, but really, let's ask "The Simpsons" what the real difference is: "All you do is change 'Jesus' to 'baby'"

I've started to take up the habit of selectively pausing and unpausing my submissions. It makes me feel like an awful person, but not pausing my submissions has led to a few misleading statistics. For instance:

1.) It took about three forevers to oust The Myriad from #1, and even longer to get them off my top 5. I like them, but I've seldom listened to them since writing that review.

2.) I got (and reviewed) Vienna's music over the summer, and while I don't mind their taking #1 spot, it is of note that I had more time…

My music zine is hitting a dryspell. I can't find a lot of really good bands who will let net surfers download their music. Or maybe I'm just being stricter about the term "really good" because acts like Vienna, The Kim Basinger Band, Monkey Jacket, Skuff'd Shoes and Cloverleaf have really stepped it up.

Does anyone have the letter that Matt Pryor wrote to go along with Killed Or Cured? Because I've never read it. I downloaded the album, even the artwork, but for some reason I've never seen the letter. I keep seeing references to it, and I just feel oh so left out.
