I've started to listen to music that I like, regardless of how "gay" or "un-metal" they are. It's music.
So why do we get caught up in a "My music is more brutal than yours!" competition? It's an expression of our own feelings. I don't feel aggressive 24/7. So yeah, I like some calmer music, and I don't give a fuck. Yes, metal is still awesome. But so are some "emo"/post-hardcore/"indie" bands. Deal with it.
