Hakkımda
sorry, i’m in the progress of cleaning up my friends list and if we never had any contact, i definitely won’t accept your friend request either. you do know what 'friend' means, do you? although the term might have been loosened in the internet, i still don’t consider somebody i share a bit of a taste with a friend.
---
i listen to whatever i consider to be good music. and no, i'm not that kinda guy who tells people he listens to everything. i don't do that anyway. i got a musical taste thus i don’t listen to 'everything'. currently i'm listening to quite a bit 70s' prog rock, which is good stuff. usually you can categorize my music as 'rock' which doesn’t say much about it though. indie, alternative, prog, chamber pop, rock, pop/rock in general, all fine with me as long as i like it. genres i usually dislike are hip hop and as soon as it gets to bassy, fast (stupid) electronic music (read 'techno'). in this regard i'd still say i'm quite open minded (when we talk about modern music, particularly what people in my age tend to listen to these days, i’m critical. let’s be honest, there’s a lot of crap among it).
my favourite songs don’t necessarily have to be regarded as my favourite songs (although mostly they are), they’re usually just my favourites from that particular album. still, this usually makes them my favourite songs in general too, this just explains why you might think i got too many.
i’m usually listening with my nubert speakers (made in germany), which are great, and audio-technica (japanese) headphones. you should consider the equipment you’re listening to music, while the music surely still plays the major role and is the key to enjoyment, the equipment you use can definitely expand that experience. ;)
i still buy CDs and vinyl which is important to me. the good artists deserve this anyway and you still have 'something' instead of just some stupid files on your computer. apart from that i grew up in the digital age, i store all my CDs on my iMac (lossless) and almost exclusively listen to music on it too, the vinyl and CDs got their value though, whenever i feel like it i put some lp onto the turntable, but their prime objective is to be collected.
katie melua is this century’s best female singer, period. ;)
i know that the text is some kinda crap but i don’t feel like improving it. maybe one day, currently it just is what came to my mind in some minutes so i wrote it down.
20.000th song.... damien rice - the blower’s daughter
25.000th song.... katie melua - jack’s room
30.000th song.... katie melua - if you were a sailboat
40.000th song.... radiohead - all i need
50.000th song (yay!).... oasis – d'you know what i mean?
