Oh no! Then I am sorry for telling you that it was good. But it was. It was good. I would've definitely stood with you and made you feel less alone, we would've applauded together when Brontide looked like they had stopped playing a song, and then when they suddenly started playing again, shared eye contact that says 'we both feel a little silly but it's not such a big deal'. The things you missed out on! How really terrible could the gig you went to have been? I am sure that it wasn't that bad.

Did you go to the Brontide gig in the end? If you did and I didn't see you there, then I reserve the right to be very sad about that and cry into the sleeve of my bathrobe. If you didn't, then you missed an excellent performance from at least three bands, for shame, for shame.

Is it incredibly awful that the main reason I am going to the gig is because there might be a possibility of picking up cheap Holy Roar LPs there? That is also pretty much the only reason I am going to the Tubelord gig next week. My upcoming gig attendance acts as a kind of a sieve for vinyl delights, feel sorta bad about the whole thing, I do so enjoy immersing myself in the atmosphere of a live sound extravaganza, but also don't like to walk away empty handed. Would be cool to see you at the gig though, you can show me all the bus stops in the area.. have them memorised just in case! Mount Eerie/Earth I'm sure will be a fantastic evening, packed with melancholy and silent introspection. Am very much looking forward to the experience, though still debating whether to email Phil and ask if he will be bringing merch with him... You should definitely check out Earth, I'd recommend 'The Bees Made Honey...' as a good starting point. I hear Karl Blau is playing with them nowadays! SUCH FUN

I just bought tickets for a Brontide gig and then I went to the last.fm event page to click 'going' so I wouldn't forget what day it was and out of the corner of my eye I saw "blue_shoes" in the 'interested' section and I was just like WHAT

Haha, maybe! I've been talking to some people who went to that same gig on here, and have noted the super-compatibility of myself and most of those people, although often having ridiculously different artists in our libraries. One person said "anybody who listens to Phil's glorious music is super in my eyes", which is very corny, but also which I was planning to use here in some capacity, passing it off as my own sparkling wit. Though obviously I decided against it ...... So......how are you......RIGHT NOW? (feeling the need to make more conversation, social awkwardness evidently cannot be stopped by transferring the social activity to a digital platform, that would be FOOLISH)

Hello there! I am so glad that you weren't completely mortified by the sudden switch from contented, peaceful walk home to a short side-journey of forced conversation, was nice meeting you, and now again there is niceness. Thank you for library compliment - similarly, I was previously unaware of all but four of the top artists in your last 12 months of scrobbling, but somehow we manage to be almost full-bar super compatible: how did this happen, what is going on.
