WHO KILLED AMANDA PALMER?

Ok, it's bad, getting a naughty copy of the album but I'm seeing her live next Thursday and I want to at least know the songs a bit better than I used to. Most I've heard before, live and on video (she's been releasing WKAP videos on Youtube) - but - fuck me; I LOVE THIS ALBUM.

… today I'm seeing World/Inferno Friendship Society for the first time AND apparently doing a photoshoot with them. I tried calling their tour manager yesterday but no answer, I don't know if they were still flying over from Germany. I'm not good at doing things on 'a wing and a prayer'. I tried to call my friend who I'm staying with in Brighton, her husband answered and we had a chat. They had horrendous hangovers and she was apparently lying on the bed rocking back and forth. … until I finally see World/Inferno Friendship Society for the first time. I was SO relieved when I realised they were playing when I was on school holidays (I'm a teacher - not a student!) - which meant that I could see them in Brighton as well as London :)

Obviously I'm excited to see Brian Viglione [from The Dresden Dolls] again, who's drumming with them. He says the tour is going really well, I think he's having much fun.

Also, getting very excited about the strong possibility of a photo shoot with them … wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

I can't write reviews - so this is just my responses as I'm listening to the album for the first time.

Oh! Vanity - the first time I heard this I was watching the 'Dead Disco' live video that Alan McGee had uploaded. It didn't sound great but I really did hear overtones of New Order on it and that was always good. When they played it live I was hooked. A very catchy tune which is always good. A STONKER!
