I have no idea whether or not Marc Cohen wrote Old Soldier with Pablo Morales (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pablo_Morales) in mind, but in the United States television coverage of the 100m Butterfly Event for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, the race was preceded by a music video montage of Pablo's career. I never saw or heard the song again. By chance, I found this "Barcelona Gold" album on eBay (used), but apart from that random find, I have never seen any mention of this song…other than here on last.fm.
