Sat 29 May – Sasquatch! Music Festival 2010

Just got back from Sasquatch, highlights were

Day 1:

Standing with the press for Portugal. The Man

Broken Social Scene, The National, Vampire Weekend and My Morning Jacket playing back to back to etc, to close out the main stage on the first night

Day 2:

Listening to Morning Teleportation for the first time, their album couldn't be out soon enough…

Standing 5 ft away from Local Natives, Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band, The XX and Girls on the 2nd day, Scoring an intact drum stick from the drummer of Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band….

LCD Soundsystem geting the whole place dancing to All My Friends…

Pavement taking 15 minutes to get through the "sound problems" and settling down into Rattled by the Rush, and the rest of the set that segued into Massive Attack's breathtaking finale to the 2nd day…

Day 3:

Started with non-stop dancing on the vip side stage at the Heavy, then getting a bunch of stuff signed by them…

Watching the Seattle Rock Orchestra kill a ton of arcade fire songs…

Standing on the same side stage as the gauntlet from day 2 and watching Dr. Dog's killer set then scoring the set list from the keyboardist, who went out of his way to go grab it after I asked a stage hand…

Band of Horses: quick but tight set, seeing the new songs was dope…

MGMT: replicating the magic of LCD during Time To Pretend…
