Well, if it is your favorite artist, then it is worth every cent. XD Have you tried ordering stuff from cdjapan? cdjapan might charge a little more with the tax but it has the most extensive selection of J-pop CDs as far as I know. You know what, I actually did attempt the 3 hours marathon of Bugy Craxone, but I fell asleep half way through it. I think I am starting to like them a little more...but still need more time to adjust to their styles.

Those two songs you recommended are not bad, I will definitely keep on an eye on exist†trace. Which H&MC song did you listen to? The rapper dude can't be that bad, right? What makes this band one of my favorites, is the contrast of the soft female vocal with the rap/scream from the male vocal. The focus is still the female vocal but the rapper complements her very well. And wow, 椎名林檎's new album is surprisingly good. XD

Yes, all of the points you mentioned are valid and I could not agree with you more. But you can never underestimate the stubbornness of the Asian culture's traditional way of thinking. These values were taught and ingrained into people's minds for generations. Even though you are living in Canada, but you mentioned that you have had it bashed into your brain. Can you just imagine what it would be like for the people in Asia? Face is everything to them and they would rather die in honor than losing face. It boggles my mind how stupid that sounds. =p And I kid you not that people actually did expect Faye to retire after marriage. Yapeng used to be huge and had crazy endorsements deals just a few years ago.

I don't know if you know much about the asian culture. They are all about saving face. The husband is supposed to feed and take care of the family, not the wife. And having a gossip article written about your wife coming back out to work because she makes more than you doesn't' make Faye's husband look good at all. So I am not sure how long they will last if this keeps up...alot of high profile marriage usually splits up(eg 安室奈美恵 and Sam). But I hope for a happy ending for them. =D
