Pterodata é o projeto sonoro/eletrônico do arquiteto João Diniz, apresentando, segundo o artista, “experimentações musicais, paisagens sonicas , evoluções progressivas, textos, vozes, webclips e outros climas…”
Pterodata review by Marc Doudin in GLASS FOREST:
http://www.glassforest.blogspot.com/
Pterodata is a brazilian chillout project of João Diniz. He links chillout electronica with ambiental and IDM-sounds and nu-jazz elements.
Pterodata creates a unique atmosphere made by a lot of electronic synthesizer and background ambient pads as well as synth drums and classical 80's groove elements. It is also a bit psychedelic.
The journey guide to Pterodata begins in 2001 with the two albums Octopus and Pterodata. He started to play those pieces live with a lot of instrumentalists. But João does not only make live music - a Pterodata show does also include lectures and video-presentations.
João does not only have a passion for chillout-music, he is also keen on many other kinds of art like architecture or writing. Furthermore, the journey leads to his next album Intruder (2008) and to the CD Fly United (2009).
The sound of Pterodata is pretty simple, but does actually include a lot of feelings, which happen positively. The drums lead to a relaxed beat and the synthies appear as a beautiful picture in the head of the listener.
Pterodata is excellent to leave the distressing world behind you and just chill out for a moment of atmospheric, electronic music. For further information visit João's Myspace or Last.fm page and support him as an artist!
