I love new music, and there's a lot of new acts to enjoy, but lately my tastes ave turned to nostalgia. Back when I first started buying music to a heavy degree, one only had two choices, vinyl or cassette. This was back in the days of poofy hair, parachute pants, and L.A. Gear tennis shoes. (The mid to late 80's for any of you born after 1990.) Just like most of you, my music collection grew in ernest during junior high and high school. Needless to say I spen large amounts of my available cash on cassettes and 12" singles from 1986 through about 1995 (the rest was spent on comic books). By that time I had given into CDs as a viable music media, but that was only for new purchases. It's only been in the last two years though that I have actively looked to replace my aging tape collection. Here's a rundown of some of those purchases over the last couple of months:
