The view's ok, but the middle of Ireland is very flat, so lots of fields and sheep and little old houses is what I can see :) If you do ever make it to Ireland, I'm gonna recommend to you what I recommend to everyone, go to Cork for a day or two at least, it's a lovely little city. The convenience of Europe is great alright, even the trains on the continent are good enough that you can comfortably travel from country to country, the single currency's made me a bit too comfortable/lazy though, just going to a bank and getting some dollars seemed like a big big task the last time I was in the states. The visa application process for Canada doesn't seem too bad so far, there are a bunch of different rules regarding the type of work you do, and I fortunately fit into one of the "come on in we need you" groups :)

I work in Dublin, but I don't live there currently, I live in a little boring place in the middle of the country known as Laois. Have you ever been over this side of the world? I've not quite made it to Canada, but I'll get there eventually. I actually applied for a visa earlier this year to work there, but that takes forever apparently.

Carte-de-visite is indeed lovely, And Their Refinement of the Decline is probably my own favourite. Summer here's been pretty fantastic so far, I've been sunburnt pretty much every weekend since the weather turned nice, the exception being today, it's shit today. How's it where you are? Climate wise I imagine it's much more interesting where you are, we rarely get anything but rain and sort of warm sort of cold weather, never extremes of anything.
