sweet, thanks for all the suggestions. i ended up getting Catch Without Arms b/c it looked to be the most popular (not always the best way to make a choice, but none-the-less that's what i did...

i'll be looking into the other suggestions as well. looks like El Cielo will be next. :)

Dredg was a good choice.. but check out Belong. October Language is such a beautiful ambient CD. I guess I can't explain it, but its something you won't forget. There are a lot of bands on there that I would recommend checking out, but Belong stands out on top. Brand New tops as one of the greatest concerts I have ever seen. The new album The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me is really good. Go with Belong first, let me know what you think of it.

Tehehe, I discovered them recently and it's some great dark and nature-inspired Folk. I'm not usually listen to this kind of stuff but this is just great! i'm not much into dark myself, but i heard a track (the name escapes me at the moment), but it sounded pretty good so i thought i'd check it out.

and the pic for the artist, well i found it a bit creepy. don't get me wrong, i like my wizards (Merlin) as much as the next guy, but it was a little much for me. :)
