Ah yeah, sorry for the late reply, I use to DJ in college radio. Trying to make a Shoutcast now. And yeah, just writing music solo at the moment, haha. Hope it'll become a band later on in the future, just need to finish material first! =3

Not much going on =) Just drawing these days (art portfolio, trying to get back to school), and trying to get my post-punk/goth radio going. Once I get those done/started, I can't wait to get back to making music again.

oh i feel you on the essays. ive had to write so many of those things this year. crystal castles is a really great band. you must be proud that they're from canada ;P i would be. i want another cd though! haha. have you heard kap bambino? they're a neat band in "similar artists but pretty different. crystal castle's similar artists are cool.

anyway.. behind all that, my real point is those 2 bands were/are both incredibly underated... and badly known, actually. And it's a pity.. ok, cheers !

hi again! yes, i get you 5/5 here; well.. *some* Duran members constantly gave hommages to Japan as an influence source, that is known yes.. especially for Rhodes (among others influences anyway). They were constantly shot by J. people in return.. that pretended DD ripped them off (absolutely false..). Now, that's all, yes.. As for your preference for J.. yes, i can totally understand too ; myself, i really can appreciate both, np too.. they simply are 2 different spectrum extremities of the same movement (that they initiated both in their ways.. before evolving again..) : one side, Japan pure smooth postglam, pure ethereal landscaping pre 'postrock' (also Talk Talk or.. late Roxies; do you know Avalon?..).... in middle pure synthpop, cheesy synth bands.. and other extremity beeing pure pop-rock energy like bands (Simple Minds, etc..). And DD uniquely able to do ALL, precisely.. and not generical at all precisely.. You should try Durans b-sides, if you don't know very well.. really. +
