I literally stumbled upon Donavon Frankenreiter. I was flipping through the tv channels I saw an amazing live performance was on "Sessions". It is an hour long program on the Music HD channel. I had a hard time remembering his last name and had to look up the spelling about five times. Since then I found out that I was watching Abbey Road Sessions - Donavon Frankenreiter and you can get it on DVD or download the digital audio portion on iTunes (which I'm off to do after I hit the submit button).

I think Donavon Frankenreiter was performing Day Dreamer when I got to the channel and that was the song that lured me in. Bend in the Road mesmerized me and I had to stop what I was doing to pay attention to the TV. That RARELY happens but they were so damn good. Then they played Butterfly, which is a gorgeous song, and the AMAZING music on Swing on Down really impressed me. So I picked up a pen and wrote his name down to make sure I wouldn't forget who he was. But it was Stay Young which they performed with White Buffalo that rocked so much I had to immediately get up off the couch and go over to the computer to find the songs so I could buy them. Then every other song kept getting better and better and I kept buying more and more of them. On the video he sang part of Free with him and his little son in the studio. And when he played it live it looked like so much fun.

Would love to catch him live in person. The "Sessions" show was good but I'd love to be in the same room with them and singing and clapping while they were performing. Experiencing Make You Mine, Move By Yourself, Free and It Don't Matter in person must be awesome.
